New Moon in Aquarius

We create the world together.

One year ago on the New Moon in Aquarius, I shaved my head. It had been a long time coming and that day felt right. That night I met up with a new friend for tea and felt like anything was possible. I could relax and be my weird, mystical, imperfect, earnest self. My hair had been the last vestige of falsifying myself in order to cater to the male gaze with my femininity, even in spaces with other women and femmes. Even by myself.

How to be the perfect girl- long hair, no body hair, lots of cleavage, keep it mysterious, no vulnerability, laugh, doe eyes. I had already dropped many of these when I stopped dating, shaving, flirting, or even really talking to men a few years ago. Now without my hair I finally feel aligned in my femininity, with a stronger connection to my chart ruler Venus.

On the night of this current New Moon in Aquarius, I also met up with new friends and dove into the ether, discussing our dreams, the messages we have been receiving from Venus, Pluto, and the rest of the gang, and our hopes for a new Venus retrograde container we are inviting folx into called Paradise, Now.

Venus is in her pre-retrograde shadow and stations on March 1. I am entering a container called Paradise, Now in collaboration with astrologer Emma June and ancestral guide Andrea Aase all about exploring ourselves during this threshold retrograde period and dreaming new realities into being. Here’s a bit about it from Emma’s site.

“we are living in a threshold time of massive shifting changes. a Great Unraveling. and the planets are here to support us.

we will play + explore a kaleidoscope of themes together during Venus’s Aries/Pisces retrograde including:

  • rewriting personal and collective narratives

  • our creative selves + lives

  • dreaming new realities into being

  • embodied evidence that love and beauty is already here inside and around us

our communal experience will be a tether, an anchor during this Neptunian fantasyland timeline-shifting wild ride.

We will bathe in the dreamy soup of our collective creative waters.

We will burst forth with bravery and heart!”

This is an emergent play space, we create it together. I am anchoring the three sessions when Venus is conjunct Neptune, the first happening this Saturday, February 1 while the moon and north node are also in the mix. If you are interested in joining this (mostly) virtual container, please check out the info on Emma’s site here.

Happy New Moon, Lunar New Year, and end of what has felt like the longest month. May your week close with some grace, tenderness, and so much love.

In peace,

Olivia
